academic quantum labortoryThis work was part of an invited competition for a new academic quantum laboratory at the University of Chicago. I was involved in limited design iteration, competition drawing, and model-making.
The half-million square foot proposal incorporated two below-grade ultra-high sensitivity labs, alongside above teaching, laboratory, and office space. A semi-continuous indoor/outdoor winter garden snaked up the building, connecting and buffering different space types.
